An opera festival in the heart of Abruzzo

There are only a few months left to the GO Festival, the long-awaited festival of opera (and not only) that will be held between July and August. A rich program of events awaits us, which will celebrate not only the great Italian opera tradition but also international pop and rock music.

Over the years, the GO Abruzzo project has earned a significant role in the national cultural and artistic scene, offering a wide range of excellent quality shows. The Festival allows audiences to explore a variety of cultural fields, ranging from opera to solo recitals, chamber concerts, theatrical performances, light music and dance, while also promoting literature.

The activities that are carried out contribute to the understanding and preservation of the local cultural heritage in all its facets. The opera production, through the opera studio method, represents the central nucleus of the event, thanks to the selection of the best students and young opera singers from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. These artists make their debut on the stage of the GO Festival to begin a career destined to bring them to national and international prominence.

From Vivaldi to Pink Floyd: the rich program of the Guardiagrele Opera Festival

The program of the tenth edition of the Guardiagrele Opera Festival includes the performance of two iconic titles: “Il signor Bruschino” by Rossini and “Juditha Triumphans” by Vivaldi.

These are two musical masterpieces that have made the history of our cultural heritage, still being performed all over the world. The direction will be entrusted to two important names, Siria Colella and Giandomenico Vaccari, who, with their artistic vision and experience, will contribute to making this edition of the GO Festival even more memorable.

More than opera: the protagonist of the GO Festival is also the art of Pink Floyd. The main event will be “The Dark Side of the Moon Experience”, the live show of Pink Floyd Legend, an Italian tribute band recognized by critics as the best interpreter of the songs of the iconic English quartet. The concert is scheduled for Thursday, August 1 2024, at 21:00.
