Guardiagrele Opera Festival in Abruzzo, Italy

    Annual

Guardiagrele Opera Festival - GO Festival is an extraordinary event, more than just an opera festival. It celebrates the beauty and grandeur of Italian art. Now in its tenth edition, the event takes place in Guardiagrele, a town located in the heart of Italy, in Abruzzo. The program of the festival, still to be defined, includes the performance of two great classics of Italian opera music, as well as the live show of Pink Floyd Legend tribute band. The main protagonists of the event will be a selection of the best students and young opera singers from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. By participating in the Festival you will have the opportunity to discover Guardiagrele, a small town that collects an incredible artistic and cultural heritage, located a few steps from the Majella National Park. The Festival is organized by the Guardiagrele Opera association, founded in 2015 from an idea by Antonello Lupiani and the conductor Maurizio Colasanti, who were joined the following year by the soprano Susanna Rigacci. The aim of the promoters of the Festival is to propose a summer event of classical and opera music, in an area rich in architecture and landscape, which in the past was not affected by events of high artistic profile.
