The experience

Trekking and tasting of typical products in mountainous Abruzzo

On Mt. Pallano you will have the opportunity to contemplate the horizon like the ancient Italics, who stood on an oppidum of which evocative remains, such as the spectacular megalithic walls, remain. The breathtaking backdrop of the Maiella and Sangro Lake will complete one of Abruzzo’s most fascinating views. On a hike suitable for even the least trained, you will visit Pallanum, the ancient Roman city located on the mountain, full of millennia-old surprises, concluding by tasting delicacies from award-winning partner companies.

The route has a total elevation gain of about 300 meters over a length of about 6 kilometers. This is not a high-difficulty route, thanks to well-maintained and marked trails, although it is advisable to have a minimum familiarity with the mountain environment and a level of hiking preparedness. It is essential to wear waterproof hiking shoes or aftershoes, while layering with comfortable clothing is recommended. During the winter and fall months, it is advisable to bring cold weather protective clothing, gloves and hat to ensure maximum comfort during the hike.
